 Al-Shouf Cedar: Hiking Trails and Map

The Al-Shouf Cedar Nature Reserve Trail Map is divided into four maps, one for each forest in the reserve: Aain Zhalta–Bmahray, Barouk, Maasser Ech-Chouf, and Niha. Each forest has an entrance where visitors can get all the assistance they require, in addition to souvenirs and rural products. Three of the above mentioned forests (Aain Zhalta–Bmahray, Barouk, and Maasser Ech-Chouf) are connected by trails. The trail options for each of the four forests are detailed below.

The first is the Aain Zhalta–Bmahray Forest Trail Map. Visitors can use these trails to reach Hilly Pond (good for bird watching and animal observation) and Jeitee Spring (Trail #1), as well as Aain Elligé (Trail #4). Trail #1 begins at the Aain Zhalta-Bmahray Forest entrance. From this trail, many options are available:

The second is the Barouk Cedar Forest Trail Map. Following the trails in this forest, visitors can reach Aain Elligé (Trail #3), Khitiara Tree (Trail #1), Marj Al-Ka'ak (Trail #6), Massief Al-Mir and Maasser Ech-Chouf Forest (Trail #4). Trail #1 begins at the Barouk Forest entrance. From there, many options are available:

The third is the Maasser Ech-Chouf Forest Trail Map. In this forest, visitors can see the oldest cedar tree, and the Lamartine, or Sawma'a, Tree (Trail #2). From the Maasser Ech-Chouf Forest entrance, there are three trail options:

The fourth is Niha Fortress Trail Map. From the entrance, visitors can visit and see the Fort of Niha/Shqif Tyron. The only, but exciting, trail in this site is:
