Discover Lebanon Guides:
Scenic Mountain Pass: Cedars to Baalbek

This trip begins at the magnificent, ancient cedar forest of Arz Ar Rab (which is often called simply “the Cedars”). From the Cedars, you will take a high, scenic pass across the Mount Lebanon range to the Békaa Valley. In the Békaa, you will get glimpses of ancient times by touring several lesser-known historical and religious sites in Bechouat, Deir El-Ahmar, Chlifa, and Iaat. The trip ends in Baalbek, the Roman “City of the Sun,” where you can tour the immense Roman Temple complex.
